The Department of Child Welfare aims to train highly skilled professionals in the field of child welfare who have a deep understanding of children and can contribute to the realization of true child welfare. By acquiring specialized knowledge and practical expertise, we strive to provide essential child-related services and foster experts who can promote the well-being of children and families in society. Through interdisciplinary research in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences, we also aim to enhance the welfare of familes and communities and contribute to the development of human life and culture.

The goal of Child Welfare and Studies is to nurture skilled professionals who promote genuine child welfare and contribute to the improvement of family life. This is achieved through comprehensive research and education on the interactions between the family and the surrounding environment. Key objectives include:
- Developing a deep understanding of children through foundational courses in child studies, early childhood education and social welfare.
- Equipping students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to establish and advocate for proper child welfare standards in society.
- Cultivating a diverse range of knowledge and skills for the digital era to enhance family welfare and contribute to local communities and human culture.
By focusing on these goals, the division aims to produce professionals capable of positively impacting the lives and well-being of children and families.
