The Department of Statistics is commited to training statistical experts who can contribute to the data-driven decision-making processes in modern society. Our educational objectives are as follows : first, to provide a deep understanding of statistical theory, enabling students to effectively utilize various statistical methods. Second, to develop proficiency in collecting, organizing, managing and analyzing information, coupled with computer skills for efficient data utilization. Third, to encourage specialization in adjacent fields, fostering the application of statistical methods in specific domains. Lastly, we aim to foster effective communication skills for collaborative work with experts from diverse disciplines. Through these objectives, we aim to produce graduates who possess a strong statistical foundation, advanced data management skills, specialized knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills to thrive in professional settings.

Education Goals
Aligned with the comprehensive educational goals of the school, the Department of Statistics has specific educational objectives to cultivate the expertise required in modern society. These objectives are as follows:
- Deeply study the fundamental theories of statistics to develop the ability to effectively apply various statistical methods.
- Foster the skills to select, collect, organize, manage and analyze relevant information efficiently, along with proficiency in utilizing computer technology for these purposes.
- Recognize the significance of specialized knowledge in adjacent application fields for the appropriate utilization of statistical methods. Encourage students to choose their own area of focus and develop a systematic understanding of that field.
- Cultivate effective communication skills to facilitate seamless collaboration with experts from other disciplines.
By pursuing theses specific education goals, we aim to nurture statistics experts who possess a deep understanding of statistical theory, advanced data management abilities, specialized knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills for successful teamwork in interdisciplinary environments.
